The forthcoming StellaDAC represents Stellavox's interpretation of what a reference digital source should be.
Designed around a fully discrete, balanced R2R ladder architecture, it rejects many of the conventions found in modern DAC design in favour of simplicity, precision and signal integrity.
Rather than relying on digital processing or complex filtering, the StellaDAC follows a purist philosophy.
Galvanic isolation, ultra-low phase noise clocking and separate inductive power supplies for the analogue and digital stages work together to preserve the integrity of the original signal, while the absence of digital and analogue filters allows music to emerge with remarkable naturalness and coherence.
A fully discrete Stellavox analogue output stage provides both balanced output and a direct signal path, allowing the listener to choose between the uncompromised DAC output or the integrated analogue volume control.
Every aspect of the design reflects Stellavox's commitment to reducing noise, preserving timing accuracy and delivering music with exceptional realism.
Housed within separate anti-resonant aluminium enclosures for the power supply and converter, the StellaDAC is engineered without compromise.
From its precision discrete R2R converter and ultra-low phase noise oscillators to its beautifully executed analogue frequency meter, every detail has been considered in pursuit of a more natural and engaging musical experience.
The StellaDAC will be available for demonstration at the Pura Sound showroom upon release.
