Aries Cerat Ianus Ageto marks the debut of the company's third generation Inverted TriodeFET technology. Building upon the original Inverted Triode concept, the Ageto incorporates a newly developed Gen 3 Inverted Triode alongside a comprehensive redesign of the surrounding circuitry and drive architecture.
Developed primarily to partner the Ianus TriodeFET power amplifier range, including the Aperio Integrated Amplifier, Essentia Monoblocks, Geminae Monoblocks and QuintEssence Monoblocks, the Ageto is engineered to provide exceptional transparency, drive and dynamic expression while maintaining the tonal richness associated with the Aries Cerat approach.
The Ageto employs a fully dual chassis construction, physically separating the power supply from the audio circuitry.
All power transformers, high energy storage banks and the extensive choke filtered power supply are housed in a dedicated supply chassis, while the main chassis contains only the sensitive audio circuitry and signal transformers. This isolation dramatically reduces electromagnetic interference and magnetic coupling, allowing the signal path to operate in an exceptionally quiet environment.
Because transformer volume controls, interstage transformers and output transformers are inherently sensitive to stray magnetic fields, this separation provides a measurable and audible advantage. The result is an extraordinarily low noise floor of better than -120 dB, a figure rarely achieved by transformer-coupled valve preamplifiers.
The Ageto is compatible with both the latest Gen 3 Inverted Triode devices and the earlier Gen 1 design, allowing owners of existing Aries Cerat components to maintain compatibility while benefiting from the latest developments.
Combined with a transformer volume control, carefully optimised gain stages and exceptionally wide bandwidth, the Ageto is designed to preserve the smallest musical nuances while delivering the scale, authority and dynamic realism for which Aries Cerat electronics are renowned.
